Hi, I’m Lauren Cowherd.

If you feel stuck in the same patterns in relationships, overwhelmed by anxiety, or affected by past experiences that continue to show up in your life today, you are not alone. Many people find that unresolved experiences, childhood dynamics, or difficult relationships continue to influence how they think, feel, and respond to others. Therapy can help you better understand these patterns and begin creating meaningful change.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in trauma therapy, relationship dynamics, and emotional healing. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, betrayal, life transitions, and the lasting effects of past experiences.

I take an integrative approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporate trauma-informed therapies to help clients process and heal from distressing experiences. My work also integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop practical skills for emotional regulation, communication, and healthier relationships.

I believe that healing happens when individuals feel safe, understood, and supported while exploring their experiences. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients can gain insight, process difficult experiences, and move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence.
